Latte Macchiato

Latte macchiato or “spotted” milk, is served in a glass to highlight the colours in this Italian coffee speciality – the individual layers of milk, espresso and milk froth.

Preparation

  1. Froth the milk and fill a tall glass with about 2/3 hot milk and 1/3 milk froth.
  2. Then add an espresso to the mixture slowly, preferably using a small jug, to create the desired effect.
